Honestly, I am so lucky to work with such powerful women! When Dina contacted me she was tired of the same old head shots. She wanted something more creative for her real estate business that showed off her personality. I think we capture her stylish and fun loving self perfectly. I can't wait to see these photos on her website and business cards. She'll definitely stand out from those with traditional head shots.
Are you ready to get creative with your business? Get there by investing in a band photo shoot. Show off your personality to your clients by photographing yourself in the places you love and work in. Want to know more email me at email@example.com.
Meleya Walker is a force to be reckoned with! She's living her dream of creating a space for people to learn crafts and other artsy skills. She is driven, fun and determined! Gather is a creation all her own and she wanted to showcase that by taking head shots and lifestyle photos within the space.
As you'll see from the photos her space is a maker's dream! She also sells local artists works and products as well. If you want to find out more about the space or better yet take a class visit her website at www.gatherstudioandmarket.com.
I love when I get to me local Placerville peeps! When Kara contacted me she wanted something that was laid back and not super formal. She told me that "I want to look myself and feel myself when I look at the photo." I was totally on board as that is what I am all about!
We combined a lifestyle photo shoot of her and family portraits right in her own backyard. It was one of the most original photo shoots I have ever done. When I say original I mean the photos are personal to her. She picked the spot, what they were going to do and wear because it meant something to her! And that's what it is all about!
Kara is a powerhouse of a woman. She owned and operated one of the best restaurants in town The Farm Table until she sold it in 2016. However, she still works there as the Executive Chef and Catering Director and she recently won a seat on the Placerville City Council. She has plans to begin a blog called the Home Cook's Guide in which we took the photos for. All I can really say is that she's amazing and glad to have met her!
Branding doesn't just have to be about head shots. Often your clients want to know how something is made and the behind the scenes of your business. Representing your business with professional photos will help boost sales. More likely than not it's the number one reason people are drawn to your business and then purchase from your business.
You can tell the story of a product or business visually by doing exactly what you do in your business everyday. Take for example Maria from Soulmate Skin in Woodland who wanted to showcase her space and the experience of having a facial with her business. We documented the entire process and got some really amazing photos. As you can see her space is inviting, warm and relaxing! I was getting sleepy just being in there. I also wanted to get a facial right after the shoot!
So if you're interested in telling your story I would love to help you out! Shoot me an email or give me a call to set-up your date.
What do you struggle with when visually representing your brand?
I think photographers now-a-days are jacks of all photography trades. Many don't concentrate on a particular type or subject. As a photography business owner clients request so many different things that you end up just taking whatever work you can find. But other times there are times I do things as a photographer just to get practice and learn new skills. For example this photo shoot. Even though I love documentary photography I also love fashion photography and pretty outfits. It's just something I like learning about as it's an entirely different from what I normally do. It's just another way to creatively express myself.
This photo shoot was with several other photographers. It was a collaboration to potentially create art for a new Mexican restaurant opening up in Folsom, California. Whether or not my photos end up in the restaurant is really beside the point here, but a bonus if they did. I just really enjoyed working with the models and learning how to pose people more naturally. I shared a few of these photos from this shoot on my Instagram account, but here is the full gallery. Enjoy and if you are ever looking for some glam fashion photos shoot me an email!
